Pauline Hoffman

Pauline is a Multidisciplinary artist creating figurative clay vessels and sculptures. Inspiration is drawn from a range of personal narratives and experiences. Life changing issues are explored in sympathetic, true and powerful sculptural forms. Pauline also works with individuals and groups engaging in a creative dialogue about aspects of the human condition. The outcomes of these conversations and research are often individual and unique pieces of art. The work is made using hand-building and modelling methods from predominantly crank clay or high firing terracotta. Pauline states: “Creativity is an amazing tool for wellbeing, a sense of the self and mindfulness. It is a form of stress therapy, giving permission to oneself to engage in creative play and enter into a sense of flow. It is from my initial dialogue and research that enables me to convey concepts, continue the flow and hope evokes the viewer to connect with their own experiences and emotions”.
